Cast concrete storage bench
Firewood storage bench built for the Shed of Dreams. Concrete cast section joins to wooden section. Clad in scorched Oak with copper nails and upholstered with Hessian and hand-shaped copper buttoning.
Made in response to a brief exploring 'presentation' of photography on an evening class I was doing.
It's an early form of mechanical animation. The drum spins and peering through the slits makes the multitude of images appear to come alive.
The plywood drum is mounted on top of a bicycle wheel which spins and is illuminated with LED diopters which cycle gently through the colour spectrum.

Mock trophy for Shed of the Year 2016
I managed to make the category finalists in the Shed of the Year competition, aired on Channel 4 in the Summer. They asked me to make a trophy for the filming, the idea being that I would say that it was to save my disappointment, should I not go on to win.
The River Shed
A shed built on brick piers on the banks of the river Leam, an amazing social space with a covered deck. The structure built with pressure-treated timber and the rest, almost entirely from reclaimed materials.
